Russia says to stimulate foreign business in Kurils

MOSCOW, Sep 1 (PRIME) – Moscow will soon announce new preferences for foreign economic partners in the Kuril Islands, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday.

“New benefits will soon be announced for foreign partners who will be ready to work with us in this part of the Russian Federation. I think that interest will be quite tangible,” Lavrov told students of the MGIMO university.

Lavrov also complained that Japan is not taking full advantage of the opportunities.
